Sessions continue nearly every day until Lafrowda Day.
Build something Out of This World for the Lafrowda Day Parade. All the family welcome, drop in and create with Liz and Graham.

Seef Saffah dance group.
North African Dance Workshop.
WI hall

Belly Dancing for women of all ages, shapes and flexibility. Explore the roots of modern dance in a fun and family friendly session with the Seef Saffah dance group. Free.

Introduction to DADGAD

Alternative guitar tuning as used in Irish, Scottish and English folk music, and demonstated by players from Bert Jansch to Jimmy Page.

Textile room, Cape Cornwall School, entrance via Boswedden Road route, look out for balloons.
3.15 – 6pm
Textile make and do for the Lafrowda street decor, equipment provided, bring your ideas and scrap fabric!

Thurs 9th July

Fanzine Creation
Plen Hut
4pm – 7pm
A fanzine – a small low tech handmade booklet written by a person with an interest or a passion about that passion – If you love cats, hip hop, St Buryan, lambrettas, knitting, Wonder Woman, geraniums or Rosie and The Goldbug, then let the world know! Workshop run by LPR’s very own Bruce Davies. We will provide all the materials, or you can bring magazines, text or pictures, and we will help you create a little limited edition creation for inclusion in the incomparable Lafrowda Library. You can also contribute to the legendary St Just City Limits Fanzine.
4pm – 7 pm Free and open to all – just turn up!

Sat 11th July

Lantern Making Workshop
Plen (Drill Hall if wet)
1-4pm
Make your own beautiful illuminated lantern to carry in the night time procession.
Free and open to all – just turn up.

Disco-card-art workshop
Nancherrow Centre
12-4pm
Make a recycled cardboard instrument of your choice in whatever design you like.
We’ll bring all the glitter, glue, paint and card you need. Once you have made it you can bring it along in the evening for the BYO Vinyl Disco.
Free and open to all – just turn up.

Lantern Making Workshop

Circus Skills with Cirque du Ciel.
Pendeen Playing fields   (Pendeen Parish Rooms if wet)
11 – 12.30pm – Stiltwalking – for those with some experience. Come for a practice session, then take part in the parade on Lafrowda Day (walkers will need a helper to accompany them.)
1-2.30pm – Circus Skills – no experience needed.
Wear loose clothes, all children should be accompanied by an adult.
Free and open to all – just turn up.

Tiny Worlds/Small Worlds

Printmaking with Claire Benson. Create dreamlike 3d dioramas for taking home or inclusion in the Lafrowda Trail.
