An evening of local hidden talent. Music, fun, dancing and laughter for the 5s to the 50s (and older!), featuring our own special version of “Stars (or is it Tears) in Their Eyes“.

The now well established Ceilidh to get us all in the mood - STARRING “The Tinners” and others. Bring a picnic and join in the fun!

“Peninsula Project Spectacular”. A fantastic display put together by the many pupils involved in the Peninsular Project. Includes Art Exhibition, Circus Skills Demonstration,”The Merrymaid of Zennor” play and other surprise performances.

Hammered Steel in the Square - our regular “summer” evening.

Diddly-Dee evening - local musicians performing traditional Celtic tunes.

A collaborative music and singing project showcasing the talent of Pendeen, Sennen, St Buryan, St Just and St Levan primary schools. Featuring 5 musical pieces composed by local primary school children, each based on a different local or world legend.”

“Line Dancing with Cynthia” - come along and “strut your stuff”. Teas, coffees and raffle. (Must be age 12+).

“Yer Tiz” Story Tellings featuring John Harry and others.

“Pondlife” - these merry “ska pranksters” will have you dancing the night away with their old style ska beats.

King’s Arms Wednesday Quiz - a regular fun quiz

A film “preview” to celebrate 10 years of Lafrowda Day. An hour long collection of footage from previous years. Come along to see your old friends, old images and a younger you! DVDs available to order.

Jazz Night featuring “The Gentleman’s Luncheon Club” - jazz, boogie, blues, music, County and Eastern! You’d better be there !!!

“Open Mic Night” - who knows who will be performing.

A Town Walk with John Harry recounting his lifetime memories and knowledge of St. Just. A fascinating way to spend the afternoon (but bring sunscreen and a hat).

The St. Just and Pendeen Old Cornwall Society Exhibition, which has established a firm niche in the Lafrowda Day activities, has become hugely popular. This year the central theme is based on personal memorabilia. To be opened at 10.30am by the local Member of Parliament, Andrew George, presenting awards for creative works from the Living History Project. Refreshments available throughout the day.

Annual Church Fete. Lots of Homemade Cakes and Preserves along with many other stalls and our Famous Cream Teas will be on sale.

St. Just Free Church will be open and decorated with flowers. Teas and coffees available.
